avenue of the giants

part III: humboldt county

part II: mission district

Part One: I

Disclaimer:

I do not condone bad graffiti. its true. i appreciate the ability to craft genuine art in a way that produces a new collage in the process. good train graffiti is applauded and celebrated with the hope that it will only get better. i am trying to promote effective and creative art and my current favorite is via stencil. this will be a series beginning with the roman numeral one.

haiku

a few(not many; amounting to a small number) haikus for the day:

i, geometry
different shapes you and i
kissing each other

----

photographs of you
a background of early spring
i love your secrets

Shasta

a few pictures i took in san francisco. Shasta, the forgotten cola. However, it is not cola, but pop. Not hop on pop, but soda pop.
This cracks me up: http://www.shastapop.com/

Vetiver

there are very few bands that put in the perfect mood
and sometimes you just forget until you sift through your cd collection and re-happen upon it
a pleasant mix between fantasy and wanting to leave reality
the freak/folk/psych/country roots that Vetiver has is one of the those bands
it seems to be the perfect music for late morning, just as the sun is peeping out and the california fog has lifted
now i am not telling you how to spend your mornings, but should spend it with Vetiver, a San Francisco band consisting of Andy Cabic, Devendra Banhart, Alissa Anderson, and Jim Gaylord.
